Characters of Tom Sawyer

Tom Sawyer - Tom sawyer has his own motivations, personalities, and beliefs like everyone else but he shows them in a different way. Tom Sawyer is curious, and a bit dramatic, when he gets too curious, Tom tends to get in trouble. Then when he gets a lecture he thinks of the worst possible outcome, like him dying and his aunt crying for his forgiveness.

Huckleberry Fin - Adventurous, trouble-making, child. Huck always seems to get the bad end sometimes. His father is a drunk, which means that Huck is alone a lot. Huck always wants to try new things like a remedy to get rid of warts with a dead cat.

Injun Joe - Lawless, ruthless man that seems to always escape a tragic end for him or escapes any type of trouble. He would do anything to get revenge, and he holds a grudge forever. Joe does not give up on a grudge, no matter how hard you try Joe will always come back and go at it again.

Sid - Sid is a supposedly "good" boy. But when he talks about Tom, it is almost always bad or he is taking information. In the book, it looks as if Sid wants to get rid of Tom or watch Tom get a lecture.

Mary - Mary is always at the top of her class. She is always over-achieving but never brags about it. She is hardworking and she always tries to get other people to actually do the work they are assigned.

Should Parent's Choose What Their Child Reads?

Parents should not have the option of changing a child's book because a child needs to know how life works. The children need to know how the world other than schools and homes works, they don't always be Mormon or Christian and just follow their own religion. Sometimes parents need to let children make their own decisions, on some matters, like when it comes to school books and friends. Parents can't always monitor their children when they are at school, kids always get in trouble at some point in time.
The reason parents shouldn't treat kids like they need to protect them wherever the child goes will feel like your forcing yourself in their lives. This sometimes result and grouchy, angry behavior. I know I do not like it when my parents force themselves into my life asking a lot of questions. Some people need privacy, like parents don't want children to keep interrupting them when the adult is working. Parents should not choose what their children read because most things you cannot prevent, they will eventually make their own choices. Children need to learn to make choices from an earlier age than some parents agree for.

Think about oneself? Number one?

Scrooge does have a right to think and take care of himself but this isn't entirely what you should do, Scrooge needs to help others with his spare money, it makes you feel good. Feeling merry and happy is what Christmas is about, when you don't have enough Holidays in your heart you start to feel down and depressed. This is why people should always be happy with what they have and think about others once they are done with theirs. The more charity you do the better you feel about yourself and what a good deed you did. As Scrooge thinks of himself he thinks that he needs a better life with friends and family and cousins. How he doesn't feel happy about himself later and regrets all the things in life he did not do that he should've done.

Kino: Kino is well caring and wants to give his family a good future and have his son, Coyotito, to have a chance living out in the real world.

They will talk about he was a fool if his future doesn't turn out how he wants it to when he makes the plans.

The Doctor: The Doctor is a man of greed who wants the pearl for himself probably going to try and steal it if Kino indicates where it is at all, turning himself entirely evil from greed.
